Soprano Claire Skotzko captivates audiences with her shimmering tone and passionate storytelling. Audiences burst out laughing at her depiction of Papagena with Prelude Opera and her depiction of Leïla in Les pêchuers de perles was heralded as “pure and full of vulnerability”. She recently performed in a double bill at Bronx Opera performing the roles of Sophia in Rossini’s  Il signor Bruschino and Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. Other roles performed include Depsina, Cosi fan tutte; Servilia, Clemenza di Tito; Young Zelda The Ghosts of Gatsby; and Adele, Die Fledermaus.

She won the Utah District of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in 2022 and was a National Semi-Finalist in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Competition from 2016-2019. 

In addition to opera her voice is often heard in concert and oratorio works. In 2025 she was the featured soprano soloist in César Franck’s Die Sieben Worte Christi Am Kreuz and Salieri’s Emperor Mass at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. In 2022-2024 she sang with The Salvatones in concerts around New York City. She toured with Josh Groban during his summer ‘On Stage’ tour in 2016.

She received a Master of Music in Opera Performance at the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelors of Music from Southern Utah University.
